Project Overview

In 2002, Link Web Services was engaged to develop a website for prominent Australian artist Josonia Palaitis. Having being commissioned to paint portraits of subjects such as John and Jeanette Howard, the Childers backpackers and Ray Martin, the website needed to represent the caliber of Josonia’s work as well as presenting it in a Gallery format that did not detract the viewer’s attention from the artwork itself.

Consulting Approach

As a sole trader, Josonia needed the website to not only showcase her talents, but promote her business and inform potential clients.  She also required the ability to update news and events, in order to promote upcoming exhibitions or projects. Link consulted with Josonia to determine the best approach to presenting her work and her credentials.

Development Solution

Link developed a Content Management System (CMS) for the website, to allow Josonia to not only update text but to add new pictures to the gallery and completely reorder images within the gallery as necessary. The CMS gives Josonia complete control over her website, allowing her expand her creative license over her work to how it is presented in an online environment.

Successful Outcome

Josonia’s website has been live for three years running, with minimal changes to design and structure in that time. The content within the site is constantly changing however, proving that the CMS was a successful solution for Josonia’s online presence.
