Project Overview

Link Web Services was selected by Love Design Group to develop the Commonwealth Games website for the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts.

Consulting Approach

Using design concepts supplied by Love Design Group, Link developed HTML templates and undertook content migration for the site. Being a Government website, accessibility standards were a high priority and Link worked closely with DCITA IT staff to ensure that all requirements were met.

Development Solution

Working with Love Design Group, a local Graphic Design firm, Link were able to assist in expanding their service base offered to clients by providing top quality HTML development to go hand in hand with Love’s website design. This ensured that Love Design could carry their design concept throughout a range of DCITA Commonwealth Games publications ensuring a consistent representation of branding and messages.

Successful Outcome

The DCITA Commonwealth Games site was launched in November 2005 to provide information on the Australian Government’s contribution to the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. The website provides a simple and usable interface to information for competitors, staff and volunteers on initiatives and funding available from the Australian Government.
